We’re making plans for a brand new Dream.In.Code. Do you have an idea? Do you recognize a good idea when you see one? We want to hear from you!

Do you have any preferred method for organizing the tutorials? Tagging? Skill Level? Concepts?

Code snippets will be tagged and searchable. This is a must have feature, I agree.

Project Hosting
I'm not sure how realistic this is, but we seem to have quite a few people working on code projects. A project system with a CVS server hosted by </DIC>, and simple project webpage hosting (static HTML) would be great for people who don't want to use Sourceforge. Plus it would be pretty cool to have a "Projects working on" section under user profiles.
The system could work like Sourceforge, with an application process before projects are activated.

DIC School
Tutorials or online courses that take you step by step through each language, users could set assignments, goals for certain dates, allowing you to keep track of your learning

Less tolerance towards "please write my code"-type posts
I suggest having less tolerance towards such posts, usually posted by a person with 1 post. they clearly do not contribute and clutter up the forum. quality threads are harder to find.

Remove Clutter from Design
Though I have no problem with it nor do I think is harmful but there are texts all over, I mean the right navigation is almost extra it seems :).

Allow users to see all of their posts, not just their topic
It is too hard to find responses to a post you made in a thread you *didn't* create and I sometimes lose the topic unless I read through piles of threads trying to find it hoping I am in the right forum.

Add editing ability to tutorials
After x amount of time, tutorials become uneditable. Is this intended? If not I'd like to see that ability enacted.

a C++/CLI forum
well I'm learning the language, and I need help :) I know there are other websites which have C++/CLI forums, but DIC is the best and It would be good to see a C++/CLI forum.
Its somewhat new language, and many resources aren't available, so if we create a section for it. People might start contributing some cooL resources/tutorials.
Whaddya say?

A Mac programming forum
I just bought a mac and started learning Cocoa in Xcode... it would be awesome with a Mac programming forum for general programming on a mac

Customizable Blogs
Right now, blog customization is pretty much limited to adding a few content blocks. I would like a way to customize the stylesheet used by my blog, or at least someway to make it a little more personal.

Allow user to mark a topic as: "answer in progress"
When you are in the progress of answering someones question there should be an option to mark as "answer in progress." That way when looking through topics if someone is already answering it everyone else won't waste time answering the same question again.

Mark a post as a "Comment" or another "Question"
This would help someone browsing the forum to see if the new post is another comment on the subject or another related question.
